Our founding vision: a club for everyone
Warsop RC was born from a desire to cultivate an inclusive local running community. Our main idea is simple: to support everyone from those taking their very first steps in running to seasoned athletes aiming to compete in local leagues across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We strive to provide a welcoming platform where every member can achieve their personal running goals, whatever they may be.
Meet our dedicated founders
Our club is powered by passionate individuals, notably our Chairman and founder. He is a well-seasoned runner and competitor with a wealth of knowledge, having had the unique opportunity to receive a scholarship to America where he competed in numerous running and athletic events. He has been a member of several local clubs, achieving impressive times and records throughout the years.
After meeting his wife, our Co-Founder and Welfare Officer, and starting a family, they have worked incredibly hard to bring this dream to life. Both are deeply committed to ensuring Warsop RC offers a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and can thrive. While their children are keen to join in and are very active with their team sports, we are currently an adults-only club, but we look forward to catering for children in the future.
