September Runner of the month: Steve Shaw
A massive congratulations to Steve, our well-deserved WRC Runner of the Month for September!🎉👏
Steve had a fantastic month, taking on the Robin Hood Half Marathon and crossing the finish line with an incredible personal best of 1:58:52!⏱️🔥 Sub-2 hours and a shiny new PB, what a result, Steve! 💪
Since joining WRC, Steve has gone from strength to strength, achieving brilliant things in his own running journey. But what makes him such a deserving member of our club is that it’s never just about his own achievements.
A genuinely lovely bloke with a great sense of humour, Steve is always ready for a laugh, a chat and a bit of encouragement. He’s also gone out of his way to travel and support fellow club members at their races, turning up to cheer them on and celebrate their achievements. ❤️🙌
That’s what WRC is all about, not just chasing PBs and crossing finish lines, but supporting each other, sharing the highs and lows, and being part of something special.
Steve, your progress has been brilliant to watch, and your support for everyone around you makes you a real asset to the club.
